Art Institute Schools | What To Expect

What should you expect from art institute schools? You are going to advance your knowledge, and passion of your field. From design, fashion, media arts, culinary, and more, you are going to help advance the world in one way or another. You are doing what the majority of people cannot achieve, and for this you are going to be greatly rewarded.

The classes offered at art institute schools aren't really considered classes in the formal terms. Classes to most seem like book learning. A career in the arts requires intense hands on training to be proficient in your field. You are going to be grouped with other people like yourself, some you may not get along with. This is fine, you will learn about yourself and others in the process. By being close to others that share your passion, you will learn more than if you were to go at it alone.

Once you complete your education, continue working on your portfolio. This is going to help you prove to people what you are capable of. This allows you to build confidence in yourself, and others torwards you. You should also stick with the people you were in school with, but also begin networking out with other people in your field. It is who you know, after all, that gets you the most gigs. Get rid of the attitude that "I'm going to work in this type of business". No you're not. You are green. Build yourself up for a couple years, or longer if need be, and get your reputation. Protect it at all costs.
